Rodanthe stems are strong and have a beautiful curl whilst the flowers themselves are very delicate and often lean or sway. There was a bitter Yorkshire gale blowing the day I was preparing these, and seeing the trees and plants outside my window swaying in the wind inspired this piece. The flowerheads are shown as if blown by the wind whilst individual petals have been displaced and strewn about. The third photo shows the woven stems on the back of the tulle.
