Stringlia tree close up
This piece is built around a lovely shaped twig that I found in my garden. It's branches were too big to be woven on tulle, so instead I used invisible thread to tie it in, then added birch twigs and Stringlia flowers to build the tree shape. The piece is very 3D and when viewed from the side you can clearly see that the pieces are not joined together, but when viewed head-on the pieces come together to form a cohesive tree.

  • Enclosed in a 8" x 12" oval wooden embroidery hoop without clamp (not framed behind glass)
  • White tulle
  • This piece does not have a backing as it will work well on many walls - see the photos for some ideas.
  • Can be hung using the picture hanging on the back 
  • The works are not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
