I rarely work with dyed flowers but a recent assortment of floristry offcuts contained a lot of them and I wasn't sure how to use them. Then whilst preparing the offcuts and sorting them by colour the 'Sing a Rainbow' song came into my head and this idea was born. Like the song I have included pink and blue rather than the more factually correct indigo and violet. The flowers come out of the frame and this is a very textual piece as there are over a dozen species used.

AFTERCARE
- Enclosed in a 12.5cm square hardwood frame
- The overall depth is around 4cm. The flowers project out of the frame—the artwork is not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
- White tulle and black backing (but you can't really see either because the piece is so desnely packed with flowers)
- There is no hardware included to hang this piece as it would look great sat on a shelf (secured with a bit of Blu-tak to keep it safe) so you can appreciate the projection from the sides.
