I rarely work with dyed flowers but a recent assortment of floristry offcuts contained a lot of them and I wasn't sure how to use them. Then whilst preparing the offcuts and sorting them by colour the 'Sing a Rainbow' song came into my head and this idea was born. Like the song I have included pink and blue rather than the more factually correct indigo and violet. The flowers come out of the frame and this is a very textual piece as there are over a dozen species used.

Rainbow

  • Enclosed in a 12.5cm square hardwood frame
  • White tulle
  • Black backing
  • There is no hardware included to hang this piece as it would look great sat on a shelf (secured with a bit of Blu-tak to keep it safe) so you can appreciate the projection from the sides.
  • The works are not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!

Not quite right?

If you'd prefer a piece was behind glass that can be arranged at additional cost. If you'd like a different colour background, or no background at all, just let me know.
