Lunaria seed pods are paper thin and transluscent allowing you to see the seeds contained within. In this piece they are attached to twirling Rodanthe stems with brass wire and surrounded by fluffy swaying grasses. The stems really jut out of the hoop and this is a very 3D piece. The stems and grasses will sway in the slightest breeze so this piece would be ideal placed somewhere where there will be a (very gentle) breeze occasionally.

  • Enclosed in a 8" round wooden embroidery hoop with clamp (not framed behind glass)
  • The overall depth is around 10cm. The flowers project out of the frame—the artwork is not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
  • Backed with hessian
  • Can be hung using the clamp (using a nail or ribbon)
