This piece is dominated by a large, bright crescent moon created with 7 species. The use of black tulle with a black background brings out the moon's vibrant white and ivory colours. The undergrowth below is comprised of the slender, curved branches of statice with its small but perfectly formed star-shaped flowers.

  • The overall depth is around 5cm. The flowers project out of the frame—the artwork is not behind glass so you can appreciate the work's natural relief, texture, and sometimes the smell!
  • Black tulle on black background
  • Can be hung using the sawtooth picture hanging on the back
